Katelyn Munoz was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona. She is a 2024 graduate of Perry High School, where she ran under Jeff Guercki, Julianna Pavlenko, Andrew Salcido, Brian Idleman, & Club track coach- Rick Carr. In high school, she earned 2x Second Team All-Region honors and was named Second Team All-City.

She is majoring in Exercise Science. Her parents are Patrick and Rosie Muñoz, and she has one brother, Patrick, and one sister, Gabby. Her favorite food is pasta, and her hobbies include playing guitar, playing video games, and hanging out with friends.
