Pescador began his coaching career as an assistant coach for cross country and track at his alma mater, Highland High School in Gilbert, Ariz., in 2010. He helped lead the men's team to the school's first-ever Division 1 State Championship in 2011, with the woman's team finishing in third place. Daniel also coached the women's 4x800 relay team to back-to-back State Championships in 2011 and 2012. In 2012 he also helped coach the Girls D-1 800m State Champion as well as the Boys 4x800 Runner-Up in D-1. The girls track team finished as the Team Runner in D-1. In four years at Highland, he helped produce several runners who went on to compete at the Division I and II colegiate levels.
After leaving Highland, Pescador took the assistant coaching position at Cal State University Eastbay where he was in charge of the distance group in track and Cross country. Pescador also served as the recruiting coordinator for both squads. Pescador coached the schools first track All-Conference CCAA Runner in School History, coaching his steeplechase athlete to an All-Conference placing in 2013. During the Fall 2013 cross country season, he produced the CCAA Freshman of Year and All-Conference Runner in Sarah Perrin. He then followed that up with scoring various runners in the 2014 CCAA Track Championships which inlcuded All-Conference Runners in the women's: 800, 1500, and 10k and in the men's 1500m. In all Pescador spent 4 seasons at CSU EB having his distance runners score in three out of his four seasons there. He resurged the Eastbay distance program. 

Pescador returned back to Arizona the summer of 2014 to take over the boys program at Perry High school in Gilbert, AZ. He led the boys team to an 11th place showing at the D-1 State Championships anchored by top performer and All-State Runner Cade Burks finishing in 9th Place, improving from his 21st place finish in 2013.

Daniel graduated from Northwest Missouri State (Maryville, MO) in 2009. As a student-athlete, he served as captain of the cross country team and ran primarily the 3K steeplechase and the 5K for the track team.

Pescador was a 2002 graduate of Highland High School. He served as team captain for the cross country and track teams for two years and helped lead the cross country team to consecutive state championships appearances. He was an All-Region honoree as a senior.
