Olivia Baker sets new school record in the 6k

Mesa Community College women's cross country standout Olivia Baker added another milestone to her young career this past weekend, breaking the school record in the 6K event at the CSUSM Cougar Challenge on Saturday.

Baker clocked a time of 21:22.1, surpassing the previous MCC mark set by Carmella Baldwin. Her performance continues a remarkable stretch that has already seen her earn ACCAC Runner of the Week honors as well as being named the M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week earlier this season.

The freshman has quickly established herself as one of the premier runners in the NJCAA, leading the Thunderbirds in each race so far this season.
