BRIANNA ANDERSON NAMED ACCAC DII LIBERO OF THE YEAR

Mesa Community College sophomore Brianna Anderson has been named the ACCAC DII Libero of the Year for the 2025 season.
Anderson, who also earned the honor in 2024, led the confernece with 556 digs and ranked second in the ACCAC averaging 5.67 digs per set. The sophomore anchored the Thunderbird defense all season, helping Mesa capture the ACCAC Championship and enter postseason play as the No. 1 seed in the Region I DII Playoffs.
Anderson had 15 matches with 20 digs or more & 4 matches with 30 digs or more this season including a season high 39 digs against nationally ranked Iowa Central Community College in early September. Anderson won the ACCAC DII Defensive Player of the Week honoe five times this season in addition to the NJCAA DII Defensive Player of the Week award twice.
Anderson also holds the ACCAC single-season record with 854 digs, set during the 2024 campaign.
Head Coach Jordan Herrington praised Anderson's consistency and leadership:
"Bri has always been a rockstar. From her days as a sophomore in high school to now as a sophomore in college, she has elevated her game year after year. Her growth stems from an unwavering ambition to improve and an ability to trust the process. Bri's dedication not only makes her better but also raises the standard for everyone around her. She's trusted me as her coach every step of the way, and that trust shines through in all her accomplishments. I'm so grateful to be a small part of Bri's volleyball journey defined by hard work, leadership, and grit," said Herrington.
