Mesa rolled past Phoenix College in straight sets to notch its seventh consecutive conference win and improve to 15–4 (7–0 ACCAC).


Lindsey Leavitt led the attack with 15 kills on an impressive .591 hitting percentage, while Isa Folau added 11 kills and 11 digs for a strong all-around performance. Setter Isabella Jackson tallied 21 assists and six digs, while Brianna Anderson anchored the defense with 11 digs and two service aces.

The Thunderbirds hit .211 as a team, totaling 44 kills and 52 digs in the sweep.


Mesa 3, Chandler-Gilbert 0

Set scores: 25–20, 25–18, 25–18

Back home at Theo Heap Gym, Mesa stayed hot with another sweep, notching their eighth straight conference victory to move to 16–4 overall (8–0 ACCAC).


Leavitt and Folau once again powered the offense, each recording 10 kills, while Folau added 13 digs. Marley Cortez chipped in seven kills, and Jackson dished out 16 assists to go along with 10 digs.

At the net, Gracie McArthur and Melody Jones combined for eight total blocks, helping Mesa hold Chandler-Gilbert to a .039 hitting percentage. The T-Birds finished the night hitting .192 as a team.

No. 10 MCC is back in action on Tuesday as they host No. 13 Eastern Arizona College.
