No. 10 Mesa Volleyball tops No. 15 Glendale in conference action

No. 12 MCC Volleyball extended its win streak with a 3–1 road victory over No. 15 Glendale Community College on Wednesday night. The Thunderbirds dropped the opening set but stormed back to take the next three, winning by scores of 23-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-19. The result improves MCC to 10-2 overall (4-0 ACCAC).
Mesa's attack was well-balanced, finishing with 53 kills on a .198 hitting percentage. Lindsey Leavitt powered the offense with 12 kills, while Isa Folau added 11 kills and 17 digs. Marley Cortez chipped in 10 kills and 15 digs, and Melody Jones posted nine kills with three blocks.
In the middle, Gracie McArthur was highly efficient, converting six kills on 12 swings for a .333 hitting percentage.. Aolani Motu added four kills and two block assists to help anchor the front line.
Defensively, Brianna Anderson was once again a force in the back row, recording a match-high 31 digs. Setters Isabella Jackson (22 assists, 10 digs) and Etta Henson (23 assists, nine digs) kept the offense in rhythm throughout the comeback effort.
The Thunderbirds return home Friday and Saturday to host Cleveland CC in back-to-back matches at Theo Heap Gymnasium.
