Brianna Anderson wins second NJCAA DII National Defensive Player of the Week honor

Mesa Community College libero Brianna Anderson has earned NJCAA Division II National Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time in her Thunderbird career.
Anderson anchored the back row across six matches, totaling 157 digs (6.83 per set). Her week was highlighted by 39 digs against nationally ranked Iowa Central Community College and 34 digs against nationally ranked Central Community College.
The sophomore also surpassed a major career milestone, recording her 1,000th dig in her time at Mesa. Already a multiple-time ACCAC honoree, Anderson continues to solidify her standing as one of the top defensive players in the nation.
