T-Birds Volleyball Play at Scottsdale Friday Night

With an exciting five set victory over #20(DI) Yavapai College Wednesday night at Theo Heap Gym, the Mesa Volleyball team look to keep their momentum going as they head to #10(DII) Scottsdale for an ACCAC match.

The Thunderbirds battled to the very end against the Roughriders, showing grit to earn their first victory of the 2016 season. 

Megan Block led the T-Birds in kills with 16 while also having 16 digs. Leah Crist finished with 14 kills and Kahri Harrion finished with a team high 45 assists.

The Artichokes dropped their first match against the Arizona Western Matadors, 3-1, down in Yuma, AZ.

The match starts at 7 p.m. at Scottsdale CC.
