MELZER EARNS ACCAC WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK HONOR

Mesa Community College sophomore Lucy Melzer has been named the ACCAC Women's Co-Track Athlete of the Week following her performance at the NAU Tune Up in Flagstaff.

Melzer ran a 5:09.80 mile, converted to 4:58.56 for altitude, a time that ranks her among the Top 10 nationally in NJCAA Division I this indoor season. She also continues to contribute to Mesa's nationally ranked relay squads, including the No. 7 4x800m relay and No. 8 distance medley relay teams.

This marks Melzer's second ACCAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week honor this season.
