Mesa Track & Field caps off 2025 season at NJCAA National Championships

Mesa track & Field finished their 2025 season at the NJCAA Outdoor National Championships in Hutchinson, KS over the weekend. 

Women's Track & Field:

The Lady T-Birds concluded their season on a high note at the NJCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, finishing 16th overall with 13.33 team points. The strong showing was highlighted by several standout performances and All-American honors.

Sara Jacobson led the way with a stellar effort in the Heptathlon, finishing 3rd overall and earning All-American honors. Her performance across the seven events demonstrated consistency, resilience, and elite athleticism.

SeiOriana Glass made her presence felt in the throws, finishing 9th in the Hammer Throw and 10th in the Discus Throw, just shy of All-American status in both events. Her double top-10 finish speaks to her versatility and competitive edge.

Madisyn Williams capped off a historic year in the Pole Vault, following up her Indoor National Runner-Up finish with a 3rd-place result in the Outdoor Championships. Her consistency across both seasons firmly established her as one of the top vaulters in the NJCAA.

The Women's 4x800 Meter Relay team also earned All-American honors, as Kinley Jackson, Carmella Baldwin, Katie Munoz, and Lucy Melzer combined for a strong performance that earned them 8th place in a highly competitive field.

Men's Track & Field:

The Thunderbird Men tied for 37th place overall, scoring a point in the throws category thanks to a memorable performance from Austin John.

John capped off his Mesa career by earning All-American honors with an 8th-place finish in the Hammer Throw, putting the T-Birds on the board and solidifying his place among the top throwers in the country
