Mesa, AZ – It took overtime, but Yavapai's women soccer team stopped Mesa 1-0 Tuesday at John D. Riggs Stadium Tuesday evening.
YC's A.J. Jones scored at the 5:53 mark of the first OT to give the Roughriders the win. They are now 4-4 in all matches and 3-0 in ACCAC play while Mesa slips to 1-7 and 1-2.
It doesn't get any easier for MCC as the T-Birds take on second-ranked Pima Saturday at home at 8 p.m.
