Head Coach John Guerrero is in his seventh season as men's and 11th as women's coach. Guerrero knows there is tough competition in the ACCAC and 2011 is no different.

A Mesa native, John Guerrero attended Westwood High School where he was the #1 player on the Warriors golf team as a junior and senior, followed by two years at Mesa Community College. In 1993, he founded the Madison Golf Academy in Phoenix, an enrichment program for elementary students, which he ran for seven summers. He became a professional golfer in 1996, and joined the staff of the Riverview Golf Course in Mesa. Since 1999, he has been associated with the Dobson Ranch Golf Course as a teaching instructor.

A member of the National Golf Coaches Association, John was named women’s golf coach at MCC in 2001 and the men’s coach in 2005. For the past four years he has been named Women’s Golf Coach of the Year by the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference in recognition of having one of the top programs in the country. He puts particular emphasis on teaching the finer points of the game to help his players improve their skills and be able to compete at a high level.
