The Mesa Community College Women's Golf team wrapped up another historic season with an eighth-place finish at the NJCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championships held at Ol' Colony Golf Complex in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Competing against the top programs in the country over four rounds, the Thunderbirds finished with a team score of +219 after rounds of +51, +55, +58 and +55. Mesa secured a top-10 national finish while battling through difficult scoring conditions throughout the tournament.

Standout Abree Germaine led the way for the Thunderbirds, finishing tied for 12th nationally at +39 overall after carding rounds of 81, 77, 84 and 85. Germaine remained inside the top 15 throughout the championship and capped off an impressive postseason run after earning Region I medalist & conference player of the year honors earlier this spring.

Elina Beyer closed out nationals tied for 29th at +53 overall. Beyer turned in one of Mesa's best rounds of the tournament during round three with a 78 (+6) and finished the week with a final-round 86 (+14).

Sara Sawyer climbed three spots on the final day to finish tied for 34th nationally at +56 overall after shooting an 84 (+12) in round four. Sawyer recorded multiple birdies throughout the tournament and helped anchor the Thunderbird lineup over the final two rounds.

Annalise Kooner rounded out Mesa's scoring lineup, placing tied for 49th at +71 overall.

Shelton State Community College captured the national championship at +121, followed by Murray State College (OK) at +133 and Wallace State Community College at +164.
