WOMEN'S GOLF LEADS GOING INTO FINAL ROUND OF REGION I CHAMPIONSHIPS
Mesa Community College Women's Golf strengthened its position at the top of the leaderboard after round three of the NJCAA Region I Women's Golf Championships, holding the lead at +154.
The Thunderbirds have created separation from South Mountain, which sits in second at +178, while Paradise Valley remains in third at +432.
Mesa continues to control the individual standings with four golfers inside the top five. Abree Germaine leads the field at +29, while Annalise Kooner and Sara Sawyer are tied for third at +40. Elina Beyer rounds out the top five at +45.
Addison Miller is also in scoring position for the Thunderbirds, sitting 10th overall at +81.
With depth across the lineup and the team lead in hand, Mesa enters the final round in strong position to secure the Region I title.
The final round of the Region I Championships is set for Thursday at Ocotillo Golf Course.
