WOMEN'S GOLF LEADS AFTER SECOND ROUND OF REGION I CHAMPIONSHIPS

Results

Mesa Community College Women's Golf holds the lead heading into the final round of the NJCAA Region I Women's Golf Championships, posting a two-round total of +102.

The Thunderbirds maintain a narrow advantage over South Mountain, which sits in second at +109, while Paradise Valley is third at +271.

Mesa's depth has been the difference through two rounds, with four golfers positioned inside the top five individually.

Abree Germaine leads the way for the Thunderbirds in second place at +16, while Annalise Kooner sits third at +27. Sara Sawyer is in fourth at +29, and Elina Beyer rounds out the group in fifth at +30. Addison Miller sits in 11th at +57.

With multiple players in contention, Mesa enters the third round in strong position as they look to close out the team title.

Round three of the Region I Championships continues Wednesday at Ocotillo Golf Course.
