Women's Golf athlete Kasey Reichard has verbally committed to continue her athletic career at Arkansas Tech University.

Reichard who currently is ranked as the No. 5 player in the country was drawn to Arkansas Tech for multiple reasons all beginning with their head coach Lowell Stephens.

"I really like their coach, I like who he is and what he stands for," said Reichard, "I really like the campus and just everything about Arkansas. The program is really good, the girls are really good and I wanted to go to a competitive program and I knew I could do that at Arkansas."

Going to a DII program Reichard is thankful for her time at Mesa as she has grown tremendously as a golfer.

"I think it really positively impacted me. I did start golf until my sophomore year of high school so playing JUCO really gave me time to improve my game and learn so much about not just the game but me as a golfer," said Reichard.

Reichard and the Lady T-Birds look to capture the Region I title at Ocotillo GC April 21-24 before setting their sights on the NJCAA DII National Championship.
