Kai's TFRRS Meet-by-Meet Results

Kai was born in Phoenix, AZ and grew up in Laveen, AZ. Kai is the son of Tariq and Jenine Chaney, brother of Barbara Chaney.  Kai's father played on the Grand Canyon University Basketball Team and his Great Uncle was a member of the Cal Poly Track and Field Team.

Kai graduated from Arizona Lutheran Academy in 2023 where he played basketball and ran track and cross country for coaches Mish Aleisa, Samantha List, Matt Heyn and Joda Schaumberg.  Kai was the Division V Runner-up in the 4x800 in 2023 and on the Division IV Cross Country Second Team All-State in 2022.  In high school Kai also was a member of choir, concert choir, and an Honor Roll student.

Kai is pursuing a degree in nursing.

Kai’s favorite food is chicken udon, and soy ramen. In his spare time Kai enjoys playing video games, sleeping, and playing basketball.
