THUNDERBIRDS ADD PAIR OF IN-STATE STANDOUTS TO CROSS COUNTRY / TRACK & FIELD

Mesa Community College Men's Cross Country and Track & Field has added two Arizona standouts to its incoming class, as Luke Ahles (Campo Verde HS) and Daniel Reese (Westwood HS) officially join the Thunderbirds.

Ahles enters the program following a strong finish to his senior cross country season, placing in the top 10 at the state meet and helping lead Campo Verde to a podium team finish. He has carried that momentum into the track season, emerging as one of the top performers in the state in both the mile and two mile across all divisions.

Reese, a local product from Westwood High School, also closed his senior year with standout performances. He earned a top 10 finish at the Division I Cross Country State Championships and has posted one of the top 3200 meter times in the state during the current track season.

Both athletes add depth and proven production to a Thunderbird program that continues to compete at a high level within the ACCAC and nationally.

"I am very confident that Luke and Daniel will have an immediate impact at the national level," said head coach Daniel Pescador. "Excited to have both of them joining the team."
