MICHAEL MICKELSON EARNS ACCAC MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

 

Mesa Community College pole vaulter Michael Mickelson has been named the ACCAC Outdoor Week 3 Men's Field Athlete of the Week following a record setting performance at the Carvel Jackson Memorial Track & Field Showcase.

Mickelson cleared a personal best 5.01 meters (16'5.25") to win the pole vault, moving him up to No. 3 nationally in NJCAA Division I for the outdoor season.

Mickelson placed third at the NJCAA Division I Indoor National Championships, and his continued improvement positions him as a strong contender heading into the outdoor championship season.
