Mesa Track & Field competes in the NJCAA Region I Multis & 10k on Monday

T-Bird Track & Field competes in the NJCAA Region I Multis & 10k starting on Monday.

The T-Birds are in search of their first Region I title under interim head coach Daniel Pescador and the quest will begin on Monday in the Decathlon, Heptathlon, and the 10k. 

In the Mesa Outdoor Multis, Zion Atwood and Sara Jacobson both took home first place in their respective events as Atwood had a supercharged day two of competition and Jacobson nearly broke 5,000 points. 

In the 2024 NJCAA Region I 10k, Carmella Baldwin took second place for the Lady T-Birds.

The multi events will begin at 3:00 p.m. as Zion Atwood, Sara Jacobson, and Natalia Brzezniak compete. 

The 10k will start at 8:00 p.m. as Carmella Baldwin, Kinley Jackson, and Destiny Hernandez will represent the women. Gabriel Gonzales, Nick Valle, Dilin Nguyen, and Cal Schnepf will don the red and blue for the men.
