Mesa, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds battled tooth and nail with the #4 Pima Aztecs Saturday afternoon and it came down to two calls in the end that settled the difference in the match.
The T-Birds dropped the match 1-0, but the more frustrating part was the no call in the box, that would have given Mesa a penalty kick. Incidentally, the same "non-infraction" was called earlier in the match against the Mesa side, resulting in the Aztecs lone goal, which was scored via penalty kick.
Mesa is now 3-4-1 on the season. They will play Paradise Valley next Tuesday at home at 4:30 pm.
