Stephens shines at PV Invite

Sophomore Luke Stephens finished tied for 3rd at the Paradise Valley Invitational at Encanto GC in Phoenix, AZ. Stephens fired  -2 under 68 in round 1 and followed with an even-par 70 in round 2. This is his best finish in his career as a Thunderbird.

Mesa had 3 players compete in the event. Due to the congested schedule, Mesa competed as individuals and did not post team scores.

"I saw some good things this week from our players," said head coach John Guerrero, "We are trending in the right direction both physically and mentally and are looking forward to the Embry Riddle Invite next week."

Freshman Nathan Giles (70-72-142) and Tanner Thompson (73-73-146) finished 8th and 18th respectively. 

Up next for the Thunderbird men is the ERAU Fall Invite in Prescott, Az next Monday and Tuesday.
