Mesa Community College Men's Basketball secured a hard-fought 64-61 road victory over Chandler-Gilbert Community College on Wednesday night, completing a season sweep of the Coyotes.
Mesa built an early advantage, leading 31-23 at halftime behind strong defensive play and efficient free-throw shooting. The Coyotes surged in the second half, outscoring the T-Birds by five, but Mesa held firm down the stretch to seal the conference win.
Ezias Steffen led the way with 23 points, converting 10-of-10 from the free-throw line while adding four rebounds and three assists. Mike Alexander provided a key boost off the bench with 12 points, and Tyreek Dean contributed eight points and eight rebounds.
