FORMER THUNDERBIRD TAMPA SCOTT IV JOINS DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY COACHING STAFF

Former Mesa men's basketball standout Tampa Scott IV has taken the next step in his basketball journey, joining the coaching staff at Dakota State University as a graduate assistant coach.

Scott suited up for Mesa Community College from 2021–2023, where he was a key contributor for the Thunderbirds. Following his time at MCC, he continued his playing career at the University of Saint Katherine (Calif.) before wrapping up his collegiate career at Dakota Wesleyan University.

Scott's move into coaching adds to the growing list of Mesa men's basketball alumni continuing their careers in the sport, showcasing the Thunderbirds' lasting impact both on and off the court.
