SPC Defeats Seward Co. in Third Place Game

Mesa, Ariz. - The South Plains Texans had a strong performance against the Seward County Saints to win the third-place game at the MCC Holiday Tournament.

SPC won the game, 100-63, behind an impressive showing from Ismail Habib as he nearly recorded a triple-double (19 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds).

SCCC was led by Niko Smith with 16 points coming off the bench. Daeyon James and Nathan Jones each scored 12 points as well.

The Texans got out to a 15-4 lead before the Saints tried to make a comeback, however, SPC was able to pull away to take a 13-point lead at halftime and never looked back.

This is the Texans' seventh top-three finish in eight appearances at the MCC Holiday Tournament.
