Glendale Tops Mesa, 65-46, on Day Two

Mesa, Ariz. - Glendale raced to a 13-0 lead at the start of the game, held off a second hajf Mesa charge, and went on to a 65-46 win over the T-Birds on the second day of the Mesa Community College Shootout Wednesday.

MCC closed to within four points, 38-34, with 15:10 to play, but could get no closer.

The Gauchos were led by Eric Blackwell with 15 points and Malachi Felix who scored 14 in a reserve role.

Mesa got 12 points from Justin Chambers and 10 from Tampa Scott IV.

GCC will take on Justice for fifth place at 4:00 p.m. while Mesa plays Snow at 2:00 p.m. in the seventh place game on Thursday.
