Mesa, AZ - Mesa Thunderbirds sophomore Adonis Arms produced a big night on the stat sheet as he helped the T-Birds defeat the Scottsdale Artichokes Wednesday night, 77-66, at Theo Heap Gym.
Arms finished with a team high 25 points and fell just a rebound shy (9) of earning a double-double on the night. Arms was 8-20 shooting from the field but connected on all eight of his free-throw attempts to help Mesa improve to 6-2 in conference play.
Adding another impressive scoring night to his resume was Sindou Diallo, who finished with 17 points on 7-11 shooting. All together as a team, Mesa shot 54 percent (27-50) from the field while converting 16 out of 20 free-throws.
The T-Birds will now head to Cochise College on Saturday night for a battle with an Apache club that sits in the same position as the T-Birds in the ACCAC DI standings at 6-2.
