JESSE AGUIRRE NAMED TO BASEBALL ALL-REGION 1ST TEAM & EARNS ACCAC GOLDEN GLOVE HONORS
Mesa Community College sophomore Jesse Aguirre earned multiple postseason honors following a strong 2026 season for Thunderbird Baseball, being named to the NJCAA Region I All-Region First Team while also earning a spot on the ACCAC Golden Glove Team.
Aguirre made an impact on both sides of the ball throughout the season, combining consistent offensive production with standout defensive play.
At the plate, Aguirre finished the year with a .324 batting average, 54 RBI and nine home runs, helping lead the Thunderbirds offensively during conference and regional play. He delivered several key hits throughout the season while providing power and run production in the middle of the lineup.
Defensively, Aguirre's play earned him ACCAC Golden Glove recognition as one of the top defenders in the conference. His consistency in the field and ability to make difficult plays helped anchor the Thunderbird defense throughout the 2026 campaign.
