T-BIRD MOMENTS OF 2025-26: THUNDERBIRD STUDENT-ATHLETES GIVE BACK AT AZLEOS SHOP WITH A COP

Not all of the memorable moments from the 2025-26 season took place in competition.

During the holiday season, Mesa Community College student-athletes dedicated their time to serving the local community by participating in the AZLEOS Shop with a Cop event.

Thunderbird student-athletes worked alongside law enforcement officers throughout the event, helping children shop for gifts and assisting with wrapping presents. Their efforts helped create a memorable holiday experience for families while bringing smiles to children throughout the community.

The service project showcased the values that define Thunderbird Athletics beyond wins and championships. Through their willingness to give back, Mesa student-athletes demonstrated leadership, compassion and a commitment to making a positive impact off the field, court, course and track.

Community engagement remains an important part of the Thunderbird Athletics experience, and the Shop with a Cop event provided student-athletes with an opportunity to connect with and serve others during the holiday season.

As one of the meaningful moments from the 2025-26 year, Thunderbird student-athletes' participation in the AZLEOS Shop with a Cop event earned its place among the memorable T-Bird Moments of the season.
