T-BIRD MOMENTS OF 2025-26: ABREE GERMAINE EARNS REGION I MEDALIST HONORS
One of the standout performances of the 2025-26 season came at the Region I Women's Golf Championships, where Mesa Community College's Abree Germaine captured individual medalist honors while helping lead the Thunderbirds to their sixth consecutive regional championship.
Germaine put together a consistent four-round performance to finish atop the leaderboard with a total score of 319 (+35). She opened the tournament with an 81 before carding a 77 in the second round to move into contention. Following an 84 in round three, Germaine closed the championship with another 77 to secure the individual title.
Her steady play throughout the tournament proved to be the difference as she maintained her position among the leaders and ultimately emerged as the region's top golfer.
Germaine's medalist performance highlighted a dominant showing by the Thunderbirds, who placed four golfers inside the top five en route to another Region I championship. The team title marked Mesa's sixth straight regional crown and continued the program's tradition of excellence.
As one of the defining moments of the 2025-26 season, Germaine's Region I medalist performance earned its place among the memorable T-Bird Moments of the year.
