Lewis has big day for #7 men's track and field at Sun Angel Classic

  Tempe, AZ – It was a big day for Cameron Lewis competing at the Arizona State Sun Angel Classic Saturday.

  Competing in two events at the ASU meet, he improved on his NJCAA Outdoor qualifying marks in both. In the discus he improved to No. 2 in the nation with a toss of 169-4, nearly seven feet better than his prior mark.

  In the shot put Lewis unleashed a toss of 55-9 ¾ to rank fifth in the country.

  MCC will host its own invitational meet Friday at John D, Riggs Stadium prior to holding the Region I multi-event championships April 23-24 and the overall regional meet May 1 and 3.
