Coyotes Score in OT to Defeat Mesa, 1-0

It was a battle tooth and nail but the Coyotes escaped with the 1-0 victory in overtime Tuesday night at John D. Riggs Stadium.

Both teams were equally matched, but Mesa had one last chance with two seconds remaining in the second half.  Ghanen Lilly-Nolan took a free kick from about 30 yards, and laying a nice kick on the ball was matched on the other side with a nice save by the Coyote goal keep.

Chandler-Gilbert wasted little time in the OT by scoring just after a minute in.  The T-Birds have dropped its last three matches, all by a matter of a goal each per game.  They will again face another challenge on Thursday afternoon when they travel to Arizona Western.
