Tucson, AZ - Mesa had one last chance under the hoop to win the game but came up short as the T-Birds lost by one Saturday afternoon down at Pima, 83-82.

Led by Antwan Ross-Jones and Mikel Byers off the bench, Mesa held tough to an Aztec team that blistard the T-Birds back in January, 106-70, on Mesa's home court.  This T-Bird team was there to prove that was who they truly were.

Ross-Jones led Mesa in points with 20 while Beyers had 17.  Other double-digit point scorers were Elijah Moore with 11 points and Adonis Arms with 10 points.

Mesa moves to 15-13 overall and 13-8 in ACCAC play.  They will have one final regular season game at home against Phoenix College on Tuesday night at 7:30 pm.  The Region I - ACCAC DI Tournament will begin on Saturday, March 3rd at the highest seed and the championship game will be Monday, March 5th at the highest seed.  The final pairings will be determined after the regular season finales on Tuesday.  Continue to check the mesatbirdsports.com webite for further updates.
